The colorful music game classic is coming to PlayStation VR.
PlayStation Experience has been a showcase of all the exciting things coming in the platforms future. After a quick VR demo, Sony announced that the classic musical rail shooter game Rez, would be coming to PlayStation VR as Rez Infinite, updated in 1080p.
The game originally released in the U.S. in 2002, and was made by the development team behind the Panzer Dragoon series. The short trailer/demo was played by the man who conceptualized the game itself, Tetsuya Miziguchi.
Rez replaces the typical sound effects found in most rail shooter games with electronic beats. Sounds and melodies are created by the player as they target and destroy foes in the game, leading to a form of synesthesia.
There’s no official release date listed for Rez Infinite as of yet. Did you play Rez when it first released, what did you think of it? Are you looking forward to PlayStation VR, or still hesitant about it? Tell us down in the comments.
