Today Cloud Imperium Games released a new video about Star Citizen and its single-player counterpart Squadron 42.
We get to take a look at the rework of the two most popular fighters of the games’ main enemy race, the Vanduul.
Their Scythe and Blade fighters have been heavily reworked for Squadron 42 and the new version will replace the ones available in the alpha of the persistent universe at a later date.
On top of that, we also get to take a look at upcoming features, including the very first look at Pyro II, another of the planets that will be included in the second system coming to Star Citizen, Pyro. We already saw Pyro I a few weeks ago.

In other Star Citizen news, the crowdfunding total has passed $301 million.
To be more precise, it’s over halfway to $302 million and it’s sitting on $301,680,478 at the moment of this writing.
The number of registered accounts is now over 2.7 million (currently 2,717,341).
As usual, it’s known that not all of them are paying players. The number includes free accounts created for a variety of reasons, including free fly events.
For the sake of full disclosure, the author of this article has been a Star Citizen backer since the original Kickstarter campaign several years ago, so you should keep that in mind while reading this article.
