The car sports game Rocket League has been constantly adding twists to the formula, including an upcoming apocalyptic mode. December will bring a major change to the game, as a winter update will bring a new field and a new ball.
The free Dec. 14 update to Rocket League will add the Snow Day mode to the game. Snow Day matches take place in a new ice-covered arena, and the ball will be replaced by a heavy hockey puck. Psyonix shared some images of the new field on the PlayStation Blog.
The December update will also add a few holiday-themed customization items that can only be earned until Jan. 4. These items randomly drop by playing matches.
- “Xmas” Rocket Trail
- “Blitzen” Topper
- “Christmas Tree” Topper
- “Sad Sapling” Topper
- “Santa” Topper
- “Candy Cane” Antenna
- “Holiday Gift” Antenna
The Chaos Run DLC will also be added to Rocket League on Dec. 1 for $3.99. The paid DLC adds new cars and customization items, but the Wasteland map will be added for free.
