A new entry in the Dissidia Final Fantasy series is on the way to Japanese arcades this week. The game boasts a huge roster of characters from throughout the Final Fantasy series, with the protagonist from each game making an appearance. Square Enix has been releasing a series of trailers focusing on each character, going through the series in order. We’ve seen characters like Squall, Zidane, Tidus and Vaan so far. Now Final Fantasy XIII’s Lightning gets her time in the spotlight.
Lightning is a fast character, honing in on her opponents with a flurry of sword strikes. She uses magic to mix up the battle a little bit, while dodging around and finding opportunities to unleash quick attacks that knock her opponents away while she gives chase.
Dissidia Final Fantasy is coming to Japanese arcades on Nov. 26. There’s currently no word on a western release although many people are wanting one. Square Enix is focused on getting the arcade game out there, before they think about any kind of console port.
