The sixth and final episode of Telltale’s first season of Game of Thrones was released earlier this week and fans everywhere are still reeling from the consequences their choices and actions had upon house Forrester.
in an exclusive interview with The Hollywood Reporter, TellTale’s CEO, co-founder, and executive producer on the Game of Thrones adaptation, Kevin Bruner has revealed that a second season has been given the green light.
Bruner said: “After this week’s finale, I’m pleased to officially confirm that there will be a second season of Telltale’s Game of Thrones series, and that it’s currently in development.”
Bruner also hinted that the choices we made during season one have set the stage for things that will occur in season two. Events that seemed like small victories in the first season may play out to be very important.
“Indeed the Forresters did have a very rough time in season one, but there is a larger story to be played out. What may seem like small victories after the downfall of Ironrath are important ones. The choices players make in season one set the stage for what’s to come,” said Bruner.
The first season of Game of Thrones was different from many other Telltale series’ in that players took the role of several different characters. Bruner confirmed that multiple characters will return in season 2 but he didn’t want to give anything away.
Bruner also acknowledged that the character Beskha has become quite a favorite amongst fans and he hinted that she might well apear in season 2. “She’s been one of our favorites as well,” he said. “We are always listening to feedback from our players…”
Telltale’s first season of Game of Thrones may be over, but it looks like the story still has some ways to go before its over. Have you finished the first season? What sort of ending did you get?
