Just in time for the holidays.
Sony has officially reduced the price of the PlayStation 4 with 500GB hard disk drive. With the holidays on their way, there have been many rumors that the PlayStation 4 might get a price drop, ands now it seems that has officially happened.
President and CEO of Sony Computer Entertainment Europe, Jim Ryan, said of the price drop: “We are delighted to deliver the PS4 system at its best-ever value just in time for the holiday season, making it more accessible to a broader audience.”
The price of a PlayStation 4 console will now be as follows:
- Europe: €349.95 – €350
- UK: £299.99
- Australia: $479.95
- New Zealand: $569.95
- UAE: AED 1399.
This is great news for gamers as it means that stores will now have even lower prices for deals on the PlayStation 4. It seems the price of the console will remain the same in North America, but it’s only a matter of time until it comes down.
Ryan went on to say: “With this year’s biggest blockbusters and next year’s best exclusives such as Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End set to thrill players, there has never been a better time to join the PS4 community.”
It looks like Sony is really hoping to boost sales this holiday season, and no doubt the new price tag will certainly attract more customers.
