November’s Xbox Games with Gold Are All Backwards Compatible

No swapping consoles this month.

The New Xbox One Experience will bring a lot of new features to the console on Nov. 12, but the most publicized so far has been backwards compatibility. When the update releases, Xbox One players will have access to a sizable library of Xbox 360 games, which will support multiplayer and recording gameplay. This means that November is the first month where all four Games With Gold will be playable on Xbox One.

This trend isn’t just a monthly special. According to the Xbox Wire, all Games With Gold in the future will be playable on Xbox One. That means four free games every month without having to switch consoles.

On Xbox One, first-person puzzle game Pneuma: Breath of Life will be available through the entire month. The Unreal Engine 4 powered title was released earlier this year and stood out with impressive graphics and a story where the player takes the role of a god.

Knight Squad will be available on Xbox One from Nov. 16 to Dec. 15. Knight Squad is a 2D multiplayer title where four players compete in a variety of modes, including deathmatch, capture the flag, and soccer.

On the Xbox 360, rally racing game DiRT 3 will be available from Nov. 1 to Nov. 15. Action RPG Dungeon Siege III will be available from Nov. 16 to Nov. 30. Both games support online multiplayer, with Dungeon Siege III allowing up to four player co-op. All of these features will be supported on Xbox One as well.

Making Games With Gold fully compatible with Xbox One means less time switching between consoles and more time playing. If you still haven’t picked up October’s free games, they’ll only be available for a few more days.
