No Man’s Sky Will Not Have a Stealth Release This Week

We won’t be taking to the skies just yet.

Originally announced in June 2014, No Man’s Sky got us all seriously excited with its enormous universe and sci-fi setting. We’ve seen plenty of gameplay videos of the title, but Hello Games has refused to announce a release date.

Fans got excited with the upcoming Sony’s Paris Games Week which will take place on October 27. A rumor started to go around which speculated that No Man’s Sky would be released stealthily later this week.

Unfortunately, this doesn’t seem to be the case, according to Hello Games’ Co-Founder Sean Murray. “I heard that rumor that NMS is stealth releasing on Oct 27th. It is false,” he said on Twitter.

It’s currently unknown if No Man’s Sky will be featured at the Sony’s Paris Games Week, but Murray did tease that Sony has an “amazing show planned.”

All we really know of NO Man’s Sky’s release date is that it will launch on the PlayStation 4 and PC at the same time. Here’s hoping we maybe get a release date at the show!
