“Global launch of the latest game in the Metal Gear series “METAL GEAR SOLID V: THE PHANTOM PAIN” (shipped 5 million units incl. downloads) and the latest iteration of Winning Eleven (Pro Evolution Soccer) series “PES 2016 – Pro Evolution Soccer -” released for North / Latin America, Europe and Asia in September”

Back in 2008, Metal Gear Solid 4 also received rather coincidental sales in two months. Eurogamer reports four million copies of of the PlayStation 3-exclusive Metal Gear Solid 4 were sold. Also in 2008, Kojima stated Metal Gear Solid 4 would be his last game in the series. Seven years and three games later, we soon found out he wasn’t done yet with Metal Gear Solid. Pretty sure he’s done now.
