The Witcher 3: Hearts of Stone has some interesting quests with tons of little pieces that make a beautiful whole. Take the main quest Open Sesame for instance. What starts as a simple inquiry becomes a full blown heist spread out over four main quests.
This guide will help you to complete Open Sesame: Breaking and Entering. Opening a vault may seem like a simple task, but one must first get to the vault in question if one is to open it. To do that Geralt will need to recruit someone that is capable of scaling buildings, and finding entrances.
Hearts of Stone presents players with two options, Eveline “The Ermine” Gallo and Hugo “Beef Patty” Hoff. Each one is presented to Geralt as having a particular set of skills, but both are well known and will do fine. So now it’s up to you to make a choice.
Unfortunately, unlike the other Open Sesame missions in Hearts of Stone, one of your choices is stripped away before you ever even have a chance to properly consider it. Breaking and Entering promises two intriguing characters to serve as your burglar, but one has long since escaped this mortal coil.
Hugo had a run in with some not so nice individuals and was relieved of his life. That leaves you with Eveline. Of course this isn’t a bad thing, she’s pretty damn awesome. And although the game has stripped you of one option, that doesn’t mean it’s just going to give you the remaining one for free.
Head over to Oxenfurt and approach Eveline’s troupe. Talk to her and she’ll agree as long as you do a little something for her first. Don’t worry, there isn’t any monster slaying or banding fighting to do here. Just some good old fashioned carnival target practice. Shoot some apples off of an elf and you’re good to go.
Once you’ve helped their show out, you can tell Eveline where to meet the team. After that it’s off to the next part of Open Sesame and further into Hearts of Stone.
