Be cautiously optimistic.
It’s an exciting time for Halo fans as the release of Halo: Guardians is just around the corner, and from what we’ve seen, the game looks great. As it stands, Halo 5 is exclusive to the Xbox One, but this may not always be the case.
Frank O’ Connor, the Franchise Director for Halo has stated that there is a good chance that Halo 5 could be released on the PC. During a livestreamed play session with GamesRadar, it was revealed that Microsoft’s effort to see gaming come to windows 10 could mean that Halo 5 may release on the PC.
“There is plenty of chance that Halo 5 could appear on the PC. Nothing to announce at this point but it’s absolutely within the bounds of reason,” said O’ Connor.
O’ Connor went on to explain how the game was developed on an intel based platform and that means it wouldn’t be very hard to port the game to PC. It wouldn’t be so strange to see Halo 5 come to PC, given that both Halo: Combat Evolved and Halo 2 were released on PC. However, nothing has been confirmed yet, so take all this with a pinch of salt.
