With all the free DLC packs CD Projekt Red has released for The Witcher 3, you may have forgotten that they’re also working on two full blown expansions. Last week at PAX, the developers said the first one was “shaping up nicely”, and today, they’ve finally nailed down a solid release date for the Hearts of Stone expansion. You can expect it on your system on October 13.
To make things better, they’ve also released a little teaser trailer, which you can see above. In Hearts of Stone, Geralt is hired to kill bandit captain Olgierd von Everec. You can expect 10 hours of new adventures, characters, monsters, and romance. And of course, a new storyline that’ll be completely shaped by your choices. You can access Hearts of Stone at any time while you play The Witcher 3, but it’s advised that your Geralt is at least level 30 or higher. It’ll cost you $10.
Let us know how you feel about The Witcher 3’s first expansion in the comments below. Plan on toughing it out below level 30? Gonna try and get your Geralt as high as you can before diving in?
