Super Mario Maker Invades Super Smash Bros. With a Unique New Stage

It's a new stage every time!

Nintendo just casually uploaded a new video to their YouTube page which you can check out above. The video shows the latest downloadable stage coming to Super Smash Bros. for Wii U and 3DS, and it’s based on the brand new release, Super Mario Maker.

The new stage claims to have a different appearance every time you play, as a hand pops up on-screen and swiftly makes a randomized stage. One might call it a Master Hand. If you destroy blocks during your fight, the hand will appear to replace them. The level doesn’t appear to change during your fight, so don’t expect it to be a moving course like Skyloft or Castle Siege that loop back on themselves. It simply has a different style every time you play.

The Super Mario Maker stage will be available on both the 3DS and Wii U versions of Super Smash Bros. on September 30, and will cost $2.49 for one system or the other, or $3.49 for both together. Pricing and details for all Super Smash Bros. DLC can be found here.

It is worth noting that there was no tease, no leak, no hint of this happening before the video was published, which has got to feel pretty good to Nintendo considering all the leaks that have taken place throughout the development of these latest Smash Bros. games.
