GET HYPE: Persona 5 Is Definitely Going to Be at TGS 2015

Let the speculation begin.

Is this it? Are we finally going to find out a firm release date for the highly anticipated JRPG Persona 5?

According to Gematsu, who are reporting on an article by Games Talk, Atlus is going to host a “Persona Special Stage” at the Tokyo Game Show on Sept. 19 from 2:30-5:30 JST.

Where there is smoke, there is fire. Fans should be able to count on some new Persona 5 details and/or some trailers at the bare minimum. Optimistically though, a lot of us here at Twinfinite are pulling for a firm release date. At this point though, it’s still all speculation. Persona 5 currently has a vague release date of 2015. Considering it’s September now though, one would assume that a release date would have to be announced soon. Japan’s biggest video game show would seem to be a pretty logical place for two Japanese video game companies (Atlus and publisher SEGA) to make that kind of announcement.

If new Persona 5 details aren’t enough to get your heart pumping, the Gematsu article also mentions that there will be “a mini-concert featuring popular Persona artists Kawamura Yumi, Lotus Juice, Hirata Shihoko, and DJ Waka, the stage will also be a talk show featuring the Persona Stalker Club’s Tomomi Isomura and Mafia Kajita.” Sounds good to me.

With TGS only about two weeks away, we won’t have to wait long to find out what’s going on here.
