Agent 47, the assassin that never has a bad hair day, will infiltrate Paris, Sapienza and Marrakesh with the game, Hitman, launching March 11 next year, according to the official website.
These three countries will act as sandbox maps, and will be the first of many, with developer IO Interactive, continuously releasing new ones. Following March, the next maps will release in April, May and June, and will place Agent 47 in Thailand, North America and Japan.
In addition, the “Hitman INTRO Pack” will allow players to only commit to the March content, at a lower price point. It will include the launch content, plus all Live Events and Contracts for the locations released in March 2016. If you want the following maps, you’ll still have to pay the full price:
“Then, if you want to access the rest of HITMAN, you have the option to upgrade your purchase to include all the remaining content (and at the same time get access to all subsequent live events and Contracts across all locations). This will cost you an additional $29.99 (or regional equivalent). The upgrade pack will be available for purchase once the game has launched in March.”
Last week, the game was delayed from an initial 2015 launch, with IO hoping for it to release in March 2016, which looks to be likely with this announcement. For more Hitman, check out our other articles down below.
