Dark Souls III US Release Date Revealed

2016 is looking great.

Bandai Namco has announced that the anticipated Dark Souls III from FromSoftware is set for release in April 2016 within North and South America. This is one month after Japanese stores are going to stock up on the game. It’ll be available at launch on PS4, Xbox One, and Steam. Dark Souls III will introduce new gameplay mechanics to customize the experience and cater to the players’ preferences.

Skills, a new addition to the DARK SOULS combat mechanics, adds attack modifiers to each weapon type, allowing players an increased tactical advantage in combat. Increase an axe’s attack power with War Cry or break an enemy’s guard with a quick upward swing from Ready Stance.

We had the chance to preview Dark Souls III at both E3 and hands-on at PAX Prime and found that the combat is faster, smoother, and more diverse. Fans will be able to see for themselves what could come from a post-Bloodborne world next year in April. Hopefully Twitch Plays Dark Souls will have finished by then so that they can tackle a whole new endeavor.
