Final Fantasy Record Keeper, Square Enix’s free-to-play mobile game that plays heavily on the nostalgia of old-school Final Fantasy fans, has just had a major update. New tweaks and additions have been made all over the place, and to celebrate the update Square Enix is holding a fairly substantial contest that takes minimal effort and zero cost from the player.
The contest is split in to three parts featuring three separate prizes, the first of which launched today. There are 5 Cloud Strife figures up for grabs here, all signed by the man who designed him, Tetsuya Nomura. All it takes to enter this portion is to download Final Fantasy Record Keeper and complete the tutorial – requiring you to complete the classic Mako Reactor No. 1 level – and tap the “Enter Contest” button in-game. You can gain more entries by inviting others to play through various social media using other in-game buttons, but don’t try downloading the game on multiple devices to gain further entries, as you will be disqualified if found out.
You’ve got until Aug. 31 to enter in this contest, which gives you a little under three weeks. The winners will be first revealed via in-game announcements, so keep playing Final Fantasy Record Keeper and keep those fingers crossed.
But wait, that’s not all! The second and third parts to the contest begin Aug. 14 and Aug. 17 respectively, and each hold bigger and better winnings. Part 2’s prize is a PlayStation 4 console, and the third is a $4,000 air travel voucher. While the official contest website tells us both of those contests will also run until Aug. 31, further details such as how to enter them or restrictions concerning the voucher have yet to be revealed. Expect more information on them as each respective contest launches in just a few days.
