Square Enix will be teaming up with HITMAN and GameChanger to battle cancer at this year’s GameStop EXPO, making a donation for every head shaved at their barbershop booth.
The charity promotion was explained in a press release detailing the event’s special guests and features. For every attendee who shaves their head Agent 47 style at Square’s pop-up barbershop, the company will donate $47 to GameChanger, a charity that supports children and families struggling with cancer.
Square Enix, HITMAN, and GameChanger are partnering up to put a hit on cancer, and we need you to become Agent 47 and pull the trigger. Come to the Square Enix pop-up barbershop at the EXPO where we’ll shave your head to resemble Agent 47’s iconic bald look. For each head shaved at the show, Square Enix will donate $47.00 to GameChanger Charity and their mission of supporting children battling cancer.
In addition to charity work, GameStop EXPO will feature special guests, including Final Fantasy XV Director Hajime Tabata and CEO of Gearbox, Randy Pitchford. Also present on the floor will be a bushel of gaming vendors, previews, virtual reality demos, tournaments, and more for attendees to check out.
You can head to the official GameStop EXPO page for more details, or to purchase some tickets to the Sept. 2 show in Las Vegas.
