December’s Playstation Experience Will Host A $250,000 Street Fighter Tournament

Tickets are on sale now for Sony’s yearly community event.

The PlayStation Experience is a big deal for PlayStation fans, as they get to try the biggest games of next year before E3. This year, the PlayStation Experience will also host the Capcom Cup, an Ultra Street Fighter IV tournament with $250,000 in prize money on the line.

Tickets are now on sale for this year’s PlayStation Experience, which takes place on Dec. 5 and 6 in San Francisco. Two-day tickets are currently $60 but will raise to $75 on Sept. 20. At that point they will also sell one-day passes priced at $45 for Saturday and $40 for Sunday.

The PlayStation Experience will have demos of 2015 and 2016’s biggest games, as well as some surprise announcements. Those signing up for tickets are encouraged to include their PlayStation Network username, so they may get some unexpected downloadable treats as well.

The Capcom Cup will also be at the PlayStation Experience for the first time. This tournament is the culmination of the Capcom Pro Tour, a year of high-stakes Ultra Street Fighter IV tournaments. 32 players from around the world will compete for $250,000 in prize money and the title of “Street Fighter World Champion”.

For an extra $75, fans can buy the Capcom Cup VIP Package. This includes premium front area seats, exclusive Capcom-branded items, and access to the Capcom Cup after party.
