The news was revealed on Twitter when Konami’s community manager Robert Allen Peeler revealed in an exchange with fans that “Unfortunately PC Steam will not have a preload option,” while the option will be available to console owners.

Peeler also added on Twitter that this is a “pretty common practice for PC/Steam users,” yet he didn’t give any specific reason to why PC gamers won’t be able to pre-load the game.

This news means that PC gamers will sadly have to wait until Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain is released on Sept 1st before they can download it.
