One debate that will never be settled amicably is “who is the strongest anime character?” Does stopping time matter if someone else can punch faster than time? Are magical basketballs stronger than magical bullets? Can Kirino make a face so cute that she becomes impervious to harm? Answering all these questions might be impossible, but in the meantime Dengeki Bunko: Fighting Climax will let popular anime characters beat each other up.
The game has been available in Japan since last year, but on October 6 Playstation 3 and Vita owners worldwide can get a copy. SEGA is also adding a limited edition soundtrack for those who pre-order or get first run copies of the game.
Each launch copy will include a special Bonus Edition Soundtrack CD. The songs on the CD are inspired by classic SEGA titles, with contributions by notable SEGA composers such as Teruhiko Nakagawa (Shinobi), Naofumi Hataya (NiGHTS into Dreams…), Kenichi Tokoi (Sonic and the Secret Rings), Jun Senoue (Sonic Adventure series, Sonic Heroes, Sonic Generations), and others.
Dengeki Bunko publishes several popular manga that have been turned into anime series like Oreimo, Sword Art Online, and Black Bullet. Characters from these manga appear in Dengeki Bunko: Fighting Climax, as well as characters and stages from SEGA franchises Virtua Fighter and Sonic the Hedgehog.
Dengeki Bunko: Fighting Climax will cost $39.99 on Playstation 3 and $29.99 on Playstation Vita. Which character are you going to use as a training dummy? Let us know in the comments.
