Last week we reported that Bungie has replaced Peter Dinklage with Nolan North as the voice of Ghost. In a recent video interview with Game Informer Bungie has finally explained that the reason had nothing to do with his performance.
In the interview with Game Informer, executive producer Mark Noseworthy revealed that the reason why there replacing Peter Dinklage was due to “Hollywood nonsense.”
He also said that “Dinklage was awesome to work with but we needed to work with someone who is more available. Nolan is a pro, this is his thing,” as well as “You can just call him up and say ‘hey, next week we’re doing this internal playtest and it would be great to get some Ghost dialogue in there,’ and he’s available.”
The reason why Bungie needs a voice-actor that they can call up at anytime is because The Taken King expansion will bring a bigger focus to Destiny’s story and Ghost will be a much more important character than ever before.Players will also be able to use Ghost to scan the environment for some additional lore and Bungie are planning on replacing Peter Dinklage’s lines in the base game too.
So what do you think about the reasons behind Bungie replacing Perter Dinklage with Nolan North as Ghost/ Little Light? Let us know in the comments below.
