The developers of Age of Wonders 3 Triumph Studios recently announced on their blog that they’re working on adding more modding support to the game.
While Age of Wonders 3 already allows players to create their own maps and scenarios to share on the Steam Workshop, this news means that modders will be able to create a variety of new content such as new specializations, units, and more. As SikBokin points out on the blog, “You won’t be able to do all-the-things – e.g. change core gameplay, models or textures – but if it’s something our designers can do it, you can do it too.”
This modding support will be added in the next patch and players will be able to activate and deactivate whatever mods they choose in the game’s launcher. SikBokin also confirmed that players will be able to use these mods in the game’s multiplayer as well. Triumph Games will reveal more about the features and the limitations of this modding support in a later update.
