Mass Effect: Andromeda
Back at E3 2015, EA decided to drop a gorgeous teaser trailer for Mass Effect: Andromeda at the very opening of the company’s press conference. And when we say the very opening, we mean that press in attendance were still making their way to their seats.
While no gameplay was shown, and no information other than a release window was given, what everyone was treated to was absolutely beautiful and opened up the hopes for a new expansive adventure through space.
While the game is still a long way off, many (including myself) hoped for EA to shine a light on this mysterious title. They’ve provided small hints and concepts over the past year or so, but with a trailer and title being released just a couple of months ago, Gamescom 2015 wouldn’t have been a bad place to give a bit of insight.
Of course, we have to trust that they know what they’re doing, many companies have learned the dangers of generating hype too early over the past couple of years. However, a year out seems to be the norm nowadays.
That teaser left fans hungry for all of the right reasons. It gave something to look forward to, provided a thirst for the next trip to galaxies unknown. A bite at Gamescom would have made things a bit more bearable, but I guess it’s going to be a bit longer before we finally get a taste.
