Slightly Mad Studios’ latest racing game, Project CARS, won’t be coming to the Wii U according to what Studio head Ian Bell told Nintendolife.
Bell had already responded on the game’s official forum a couple of months back stating that the game will be running in 720p and 23fps on the Wii U and that they were waiting more of a “hardware announcement” by Nintendo at E3. Bell already hinted that the game won’t be coming prior to E3 unless they downgrade the game’s graphics.
OK I’ll come clean. At the moment we’re running at about 23FPS on the WiiU.
We’re awaiting/hoping for more of a hardware announcement at E3…
Honestly, unless we really cut the looks back I think we’re looking to Nintendo’s next console. 720p yes.
Now he confirmed it by replying to Nintendolife that the Wii U won’t be able to handle Project CARS.
The official line is that we’re awaiting an announcement from Nintendo on new hardware. As of now pCARS is simply too much for the Wii U.
Project CARS launched back in May and since then there has been doubts concerning the Wii U and now it’s official that it won’t be coming.
