Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 5 PS3/360 Version Releasing a Month after PS4/Xbox One

Skating is going to have to wait.

It was announced earlier this year that Activision is reviving the Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater franchise and that we would be able to get our hands on the new game later this year. Gamers over a certain age will have great memories of playing the Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater games on the PlayStation and news of a new Pro Skater game will no doubt have interested longtime fans.

When the game was announced, we learned that it would be releasing on the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, as well as the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. This may have irked some gamers who feel it’s time developers stopped creating cross-gen games, but hey, a skating game doesn’t have to be totally next-gen, right?

There is some strange news regarding the release of this game. The PS4 and Xbox One versions will be released on September 29th, but the PS3 and 360 versions will be released over a month later on November 10th. Such a long delay between platform releases is pretty concerning and makes us wonder if perhaps the game is too ambitious for the older systems? All we can do now is hope this is a game worth waiting for.
