Black Ops II is the Most Requested Title for Xbox Backwards Compatibility

Looks like Call of Duty games are the most requested.

Back when Microsoft announced at E3 that the Xbox One would be receiving backwards compatibility features, the most requested game to come to the console was Rockstar Games’ Red Dead Redemption, but the clutches of Call of Duty have finally come in.

Microsoft has been keeping a poll to learn what Xbox players want coming to backwards compatibility, and Call of Duty: Black Ops II has taken first place with over 2,000 votes more than Red Dead Redemption.

While this poll does show Microsoft what games players want to have access to most, the company warns that not all of the games may receive the backwards compatibility treatment.

But Xbox has assured users that by the end of the year, hundreds of Xbox 360 titles will be playable on the Xbox One.

The current top ten most-requested Xbox 360 titles for backwards compatibility are as follows:

  • Call of Duty: Black Ops II
  • Red Dead Redemption
  • Skyrim
  • Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2
  • Halo: Reach
  • Call of Duty: Black Ops
  • Gears of War 3
  • Fallout 3
  • Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare
  • Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3
