Today Ubisoft revealed that their classic PC racer, Trackmania, was making its way to consoles.
Titled Trackmania Turbo, the game brings all the classic action that fans of the series expect to see.High octane, fast-paced racing action is a plenty in this one. Combine these high speed thrills with even more obscure and insane track layouts and you’re getting an idea of what to expect in Trackmania Turbo.
We were given a glimpse at gameplay through a trailer and then a quick demo on stage during the Ubisoft E3 press conference. The gameplay we saw showed off a time attack mode with a ranked medal system ranging from gold to bronze each representing a specific time range.
The gameplay demo also showed off an infinite tracks mode which allows you to quickly create a custom track with three simple stages: Terraforming, whereby you create the general layout of the terrain with land or sea; track creation which is as the name suggests, the section where you build up the track; and finally the signage to surround the track with trees, billboards and more.
Trackmania Turbo includes a total of 200 tracks spread across four different environments, four different gameplay modes, and has five different difficulty levels. Check out the announcement trailer below.
Unfortunately no release date for Trackmania Turbo was revealed. For upcoming news, keep heading back to Twinfinite.
