The List of Xbox 360 Games Already Compatible with Xbox One

Mass Effect, Bango Kazooie and more will kick off the Xbox One’s backwards compatibility program this fall.

Yesterday, during their E3 media briefing, Microsoft announced that they’ll finally be bringing backwards compatibility to the Xbox One.

Backwards compatibility will be coming to the Xbox One this fall with no extra charge. Over 100 titles will be added this holiday, with many more to follow. The first 21 Xbox One compatible games are already available for Xbox One preview program members. Check them out:

  • A Kingdom for Keflings
  • A World of Keflings
  • Alien Hominid HD
  • Banjo-Kazooie
  • Banjo-Tooie
  • BattleBlock Theater
  • Defense Grid
  • Geometry Wars Evolved
  • Hexic HD
  • Jetpac Refuelled
  • Kameo
  • Mass Effect
  • N+
  • Perfect Dark
  • Perfect Dark Zero
  • Super Meat Boy
  • Toy Soldiers
  • Toy Soldiers: Cold War
  • Viva Piñata

Gamers who already own these games will be able to download the game onto their Xbox One from the App Store. Alternatively, players can also insert the game into their Xbox One and install it. Gamers also won’t have to worry about their gamerscore or the achievements that they’ve unlocked in these games either, as they’ll get carried over.

While the graphics will be just as players remember them, the Xbox Ones backwards compatibility will allow players to use Xbox One features such as taking screenshots, GameDVR, broadcasting, and game streaming while playing Xbox 360 games.
