PlayStation Is the New Home of Call of Duty, Starting with Black Ops 3

Call of Duty jumped ship to Sony!

Following its absence at the Microsoft Conference, Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 showed up at the Sony conference and we got to see the game in action.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 jumped ship this year in comparison to previous E3’s where the Call of Duty franchise has shown up at the Microsoft Conference. This year we saw the first gameplay trailers, including some multiplayer goodness at the Sony conference.

First up we saw some of the campaign gameplay, but with a little bit of a twist. The footage we saw included 4 player co-op gameplay of the campaign. Always good to see multiplayer co-op being included in game campaigns as an additional option.

Next up we saw a new look at the multiplayer gameplay for Black Ops 3. For fans of Advanced Warfare it looks just as fast paced as ever and included some new kill streak rewards. It’s gonna get real messy!

This was then followed by an announcement by Andrew House that PlayStation players will be receiving all downloadable content first before any other console. If that doesn’t confirm that Call of Duty  has officially jumped ship, I don’t know what does.

It was also confirmed that PlayStation players would be first to get access to the Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 beta in August, before any other platform. Check out the multiplayer reveal trailer below.
