Obsidian Entertainment recently announced that they will be releasing the Pillars of Eternity 2.0 update to coincide with the release of The White March: Part 1. As well as the usual bug fixes and balance changes, the 2.0 update will also introduce a number of new features.
The first of these new features is the introduction of party AI. There will be a variety of behaviors to choose from and players will be able to override the AI with their own commands whenever they need too.
This patch will also introduce solo stealth, meaning that when one member of your party goes into stealth, the rest of the party won’t follow. Also, whenever a member of the party is caught in stealth, the entire party won’t be forced out; giving players the option to sneak some of their party around during combat while other members keep the enemies busy.
The 2.0 update will also add a range indicator which will make it easier for players to tell the range of their attacks. There will also be an accuracy indicator. When enabled, the accuracy indicator will show the chance of the parties attacks landing over the enemies’ heads.
