Kingdom Hearts 3 Will Feature Mostly New Worlds, Release Date Info Soon

Please let one of them be Big Hero 6…

After a long time of being MIA, Square Enix’s Kingdom Hearts 3 made an appearance last week at E3 with an awesome trailer and the announcement that the Disney film Tangled would be joining the lineup. If you thought that was the only new world, you’d be wrong. In fact, it’ll be the first of several new worlds.

Speaking with Dengeki PlayStation Magazine, director Tetsuya Nomura said that aside from Olympus (a world based on the Disney film Hercules that’s been featured in the previous games), all of the worlds in Kingdom Hearts 3 will be new. Given the popularity over the years, it’s a safe bet that Frozen will be one of them, and it’s possible that Pixar’s newest film Inside Out could join the ranks as well. Please let one of them be Big Hero 6

In addition to that, Nomura also revealed that they’ve finalized a release date for the game, but just haven’t announced it. Odds are that the release date will be revealed in Japan at this year’s D23 Expo, since the game is already confirmed to make an appearance.

What worlds do you hope make it into Kingdom Hearts 3? Let us know in the comments below.
