Backwards Compatibility Announced For Xbox One At E3 2015

The Microsoft hype train is REAL.

Monumental and earth-shattering news has just been announced at Microsoft’s E3 2015 press conference – and this isn’t exaggeration.

With a pledge to always keep the opinions, feedback, wishes, and desires of gamers in mind, and gamers first, Microsoft has announced that backwards compatibility on the Xbox One is coming. It will make public this holiday season. Furthermore, there is absolutely no charge to download games that you already own!

To demonstrate what could be possible, a quick live demo was showcased in which gameplay from Mass Effect on the Xbox One was demonstrated. Microsoft promises that Mass Effect, akin to other Xbox 360 games that you will be able to play, will play exactly like the original – but with a more enhanced and robust user experience.
