Axiom Verge Developer Says That It’s ‘Probably’ Coming to the Wii U

Axiom Verge may be coming to the Wii U after all, but the 3DS version will need Nintendo’s help.

Wii Gamers will be happy to hear that it looks like Tom Happs Metroid-inspired game Axiom Verge will ‘probably’ be coming to the Wii U next year.

This news was revealed by Tom Hepps himself in the comments section of Destructoid’s Five great (not) Metroid games you can play right now. In the comment sections, he said that “…can’t commit to anything, but Axiom Verge will *probably* be available for Wii U in 2016,” He also said that the “3DS is quite a bit more difficult since the hardware is so completely different. Should Nintendo be reading this and decide to lend me a hand, that’d be VERY appreciated!!

Tom Hepp spent five years working on Axiom Verge and along with Metroid, he took inspiration from other classic games such as ContraBionic Commando and Blaster Master.

While Wii gamers will have to wait till 2016 at the earliest for Axiom Verge, Axiom Verge is currently available for the PS4, PS Vita and the PC.
