Last year, EA and Respawn put out Titanfall, a shooter that also let you be in control of giant robots. Despite its short player count and lack of single player, people responded pretty well to it. Well, mostly everyone. Turns out that summoning a giant robot to stomp on someone you don’t like is actually pretty fun. Who woulda thunk?
Respawn has already said that they’re working on Titanfall 2. In fact, that’s basically all we know, aside from the fact that it’s going to be multiplatform instead of Microsoft exclusive like last time around. Nothing’s been said on a release date, but we can nail down a time between April 1, 2016 and March 31, 2017. In an earnings call today, EA CFO Blake Jorgenson was asked when we could expect the game, and his response? Not until EA’s fiscal year 2017. Kinda bad news, but it’s also good, because that gives them time to improve and add things in that people asked for with the first Titanfall.
What are you expecting from Titanfall 2? A single player mode, larger player count? Let us know in the comments below.
