At this point, Assassin’s Creed and leaks go hand in hand. Unity and Rogue were leaked before their official reveals at E3 last year, III was leaked in 2012, and the upcoming Assassin’s Creed Victory was leaked by Kotaku about a month after Unity‘s release. Ubisoft hasn’t said anything on the game since then other than “yeah, we’re working on it”, but that’s about to change.
The official Assassin’s Creed website shows the hands of the protagonist (possibly named Jacob) wearing brass knuckles, and the series hallmark hidden blade, with the tagline being “Oppression has to end.” He also has a cane and wrist-mounted pistol, the former of which is a bit surprising. Maybe you’ll be able to pull off combos with it? That’d be kind of awesome, in a Kingsman sort of way.
In any case, the title will be officially revealed next Tuesday the 12th via livestream, starting at 8:30 AM PT. A title change has also apparently gone down according to Kotaku, shifting from Assassin’s Creed Victory to Assassin’s Creed Syndicate. Maybe this means you’ll be the leader of the Assassins from the start of the game and personally leading missions against the Templars?
