It was announced last year that EA Digital Illusions is currently working on Star Wars: Battlefront 3, a new installment in the excellent Star Wars: Battlefront games that were so popular on the PlayStation 2.
We’ve been waiting patiently for news on the title but EA has been pretty tight lipped when it comes to details. The game is due to have major news announced at the Star Wars Celebration convention which started today, but luckily for us gamers, a screenshot of the game has been leaked.
As you can see, the screenshot is absolutely stunning and is just the sort of thing we’d hope for from a game being released on the PC and new-gen consoles. Obviously, EA will be putting its best foot forward when it comes to showing off promotional images of the game but this is still very encouraging.
The official website for the game has also been launched and one clever individual has scanned its source code and has discovered what appears to be a release date of November 17th. This seems like it may well be real given that the game is due to be released shortly before the new Star Wars film which is scheduled for a December release.
Hopefully we’ll get even more information on the new game within the next few days as the Star Wars Celebration convention kicks off. You can expect to play Star Wars: Battlefront 3 on the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
