Lego Dimensions is already bringing the Ghostbusters, Batman, and characters from its own movie into the lineup. No one else so far has been confirmed (still holding out for the Ninja Turtles!), but a close look at the Xbox One box reveals three possible launch characters, and they’re certainly not what anyone would expect. Chima, certainly, since Lego has been making them for a few years and even has plans for a movie. But who would’ve called Scooby-Doo and Portal? Yes, that Portal.
A video from FamilyGamerTV takes an in depth look at the box for Lego Dimensions. Though the images are blurred, they were able to make out the 22 characters that’ll be in the first set, along with the starter three of Cleveland, Wyldstyle, and Gandalf. A Lego Scooby-Doo set was seen at the New York Toy Fair, so that possibly could tie in to the Lego Dimensions character. In the top left of the box, you can see someone with a white top and orange pants holding something, and no one fits that description like Chell from Valve’s Portal franchise.
If this is true, might it mean that other Valve characters will get Lego versions of themselves? Might this mean gamers will finally get Half-Life 3, just in brick form?
Would you shell out money for a Lego Portal or Scooby-Doo set? Think they’ll still do the cake jokes or have their original songs? Let us know in the comments below.
