Epic Games have just posted a video via their twitter feed showing some stunning footage of upcoming games from developers using the Unreal Engine 4.
Needless to say that Unreal Engine 4 is the first engine to showcase what the next generation of game engines should be able to output, and it’s simply beautiful. Click on the video above to find more.
The video includes members of development teams discussing there experiences with the engine, many seeming surprised at the results and ease of accessibility.
Members of Ninja Theory showcasing Hellblade discuss a big part of their upcoming game called ‘Malevolence’ which is described to be the characters “biggest fears and nightmares manifested in a visual language and not just to have it as a cool effect but to tell a story with these elements.”
Creative director and a senior designed from studio ThreeOneZero talk about how the new physics engine in Unreal Engine 4 has allowed them to create Adr1ft with the concept of “manipulating the physics of yourself as a character”.
Sure sounds like developers are happy with the new engine and all that it can provide them. I’m sure I’m not the only one when I say that the visuals, physic effects and accessibility of the engine provide an optimistic outlook for the future.
