People looking forward to Rainbow Six Siege can be quite happy tonight as Ubisoft unveiled news that players can now sign up to be part of the long-awaited FPS’ closed alpha.
Before everyone gets excited, this closed alpha for Rainbow Six Siege is only available on PC, not to mention only in North America and Europe. The testing peroid itself hasn’t yet been unveiled but it will only feature multiplayer gameplay. In order to sign up for the closed alpha you’ll need to visit the website offering sign ups and ensure you have a Uplay account.
The specs your PC will have to match or exceed to get involved in the closed alpha are listed below.
- OS: Windows 7, 8, 8.1, x64
- CPU: Intel Core i5-2500K or AMD FX-8120 Eight-Core
- CPU Speed: 3.3 GHz (Recommended), 2.6 GHz (Minimum)
- RAM: 8 GB
- GPU: Nvidia GeForce GTX 670 or AMD Radeon HD 7970 / R9 280 X
- VRAM: 2 GB
Access to the Rainbow Six Siege closed alpha is not guaranteed either. Even if you’re one one of the first to sign up, this is for testing purposes only and those lucky enough to be invited to the alpha will be sent an email nearer to the time.
The fact that this alpha is only coming to PC doesn’t mean Ubisoft have decided against bringing Rainbow Six Siege to Xbox One and PlayStation 4, this is literally just a technical test.
