Platinum Game’s Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance is celebrating it’s second birthday today and is giving back to it’s fan-base by releasing an awesome stop-motion video.
The video starts with an action figure Raiden jumping out of the box art of the game and performing his signature moves on a Double Tripod. He goes on to attack the camera itself, crushes half a watermelon, and jumps back into the box art.
Revengeance was released in February of 2013 to favorable reviews after a lengthy development that saw the game change hands from Kojima Productions to Platinum Games.
The game was originally announced in 2009 with the title Metal Gear Solid: Rising and was meant to take place between the events of Metal Gear Solid 2 and Metal Gear Solid 4. After several story changes, the game was finalized with a setting taking place four years after the events of Metal Gear Solid 4 in the year 2018.
