Trey also has the potential to be a pretty good support character with certain abilities that enable him to inflict Kill Sight on enemies. Burst Delta and its superior version, Grand Delta, will generate a portal that drains the enemies’ HP and inflict Kill Sight on them. Though Trey will be left vulnerable while executing these abilities, they’re still pretty useful when facing large group of enemies and this gives your squad members a good opportunity to take them out quickly.
As a sniper, you’ll want to upgrade Trey’s Charged Shot as soon as you can. By holding down the normal attack button, Trey can charge up his shots and fire a really powerful enemy at his enemies. While charging up your arrows, remember to always keep Trey mobile and away from danger. For added damage, you might want to grab Concentrate for him as well. This ability allows Trey to focus and increase the damage output of his attacks. A good attack combination is to use Concentrate and fire off a charged shot at a foe for maximum damage.
It should also be noted that Trey has a pretty decent MP pool so don’t be afraid to give him some offensive magic if you need to. He has high affinity with ice magic so he’ll be able to deal decent damage with a well-executed Blizzard BOM. A good setup for Trey is to have Charge Shot unlocked, slap on Blizzard BOM and Firewall on him, and equip Cure as your defensive magic in case of emergencies.
Ultimately, the key to using Trey effectively is to practice his shots and abilities. The timing of his arrows might take some getting use to, and some of his abilities such as Freezing Rain will require some practice so you know how to execute them on the field.
