An official website has already launched with a release window set for summer of this year. The site also features a fancy anime announcement trailer for your viewing pleasure, and a handful of screenshots that depict the kind of dungeon crawling the series is known for.

The first Etrian Odyssey Untold game was a reimagining of the original Etrian Odyssey released for the Nintendo DS that included a new fully realized story mode and voice acting, among other features. Untold 2 will itself be a remake for the Nintendo 3DS of the second game in the series Etrian Odyssey II: Heroes of Lagaard with it’s own story mode, improved graphics, and a range of difficulties. Etrian Odyssey Untold 2 will, like its predecessor, give players the option to play the game in it’s original story-less mode if you decide you want all the dungeon with none of the plot.

Are you excited? Does ATLUS already have enough of your money? What the hell is a Fafnir Knight? Let us know in the comments!
