Majora's Mask 3D Guide: How To Complete Snowhead Temple

Something something cold shoulder joke.

Upward Movement

The goal of Snowhead Temple is to get to the top floor where the boss room is. Until you get the fire arrows, your movement around the first couple floors is going to be very limited, so make the acquisition of fire arrows your top priority. I know, very surprising, getting the dungeon’s item is crucial to its completion. However, you’ll notice very quickly that the dungeon is just littered with giant hunks of ice that can only be melted with fire arrows. Not all of them signify entryways only accessible by getting the fire arrows mind you; for some you can aim an arrow through a lit torch to melt them, much like the wooden flower in Woodfall Temple. Keep an eye out for these torches to keep yourself from getting stuck.

Once you activate the switch that extends the pillar in the middle of the dungeon, you may think that you will have to retract it and extend it multiple times to get around; don’t bother. There are enough shortcuts littered around the floors from melting ice or using some inventive falling from higher floors that it makes it completely useless. Just remember to keep the verticality of the dungeon in mind. From the way it’s constructed, you can go down very easily and find your way back up without needing a lot of effort.
