Apple admits blunder about the “pornographic” nature of the game

Earlier this week  Papers, Please creator, Lucas Pope, revealed that he had to remove the nudity in the game in the iOS release of his critically-acclaimed game after initial rejection from Apple stating that the game contained pornographic content. This misunderstanding on Apple’s part caused the iPad release of the indie game to launch without the controversial nudity. But after talking to Apple, Pop revealed the misunderstanding:

Papers, Please puts players into the role of a border patrol agent for the fictional country of country of Arostozka. The nudity in question comes in the form of body scans that all immigrants must pass through in order to come into the country. This invasion of privacy is just one of the moral decisions players must decide upon as they struggle to make ends meet and feed their fictional family. The nudity in the game can be toggle on and off in the game options.
