Final Fantasy X | X-2 HD Confirmed for PS4

Final Fantasy X and X-2 get yet another remaster for the PS4 this time, less than a year since its HD release on the PS3.

There were rumors flying around about Final Fantasy X | X-2 HD Remaster coming to the PS4 since the port was accidentally leaked through a listing on Square Enix France. This rumor was confirmed to be true at today’s PlayStation China press conference in Shanghai.

Though there is no official release date for Final Fantasy X | X-2 HD Remaster on the PS4 just yet, Square Enix has stated that it will be released on the next-gen console “soon”. According to the Japanese website Inside Games, the PS4 version is set to see its release some time in spring 2015. At the moment, there is no word on when the game will be coming to other regions outside of China and Japan.

It’s worth noting that Final Fantasy X | X-2 HD did just see its release on the PS3 and PS Vita back in March of this year. With the way things are going in the gaming industry these days, it seems like more and more companies are jumping on the HD port bandwagon – a disappointing sight to see.
