The Crew Guide: How to Get the East Coast Hidden Car

Got The Crew? Want a Dirt-spec Hotrod? Then look no further.

The Crew already has an impressive array of vehicles, with close to 40 being available from dealers alone for money. There are, however, some bonus cars lying around that you can collect. These are called Hidden Cars and each region has one – that’s five cars in all. You’ll have to do a little exploration to find them but they are all manufacturer free and created by the developers themselves. Finding these vehicles can be a little tricky. That is until now, as Twinfinite offers a selection of guides to find all of the parts for each Hidden Car in The Crew.

The Crew

In The Crew‘s East Coast, you can collect all of the parts for the vehicle pictured above, the Hotrod HuP One Dirt-spec. This vehicle has a high selection of base stats and can be upgraded using parts you find along the way. Most importantly, though, the exhausts are on the side so your sweet blue nitrous flames spit out of there rather than the back end. It wouldn’t be surprising to see cars like this rolling across the plains in a Mad Max film.

Below you’ll find a map showing each of the scrap part locations (click it to make it bigger). Also beneath this image are a selection of links to pages, each one detailing the location of the numbered parts. Right, enough chit chat, let’s go get you to all of those wrecks and into a sweet-ass ride for The Crew.

Wrecks 1-4

Wrecks 5-8

Wrecks 9-12

Wrecks 13-16

Wrecks 17-20

Number 1

The Crew

This first wreck in your pursuit of The Crew‘s dirt -spec Hidden Car is taking a small vacation close to Niagara Falls. Drive along the Canadian border on the northern route as the wreck is on this side of the nearby river. You can drive on the south side if you like but you’ll have to go into the map to fast travel across the murky waters. It’s hidden deep within the trees so follow your radar for the best chance at not driving into the water by accident – no matter how funny it might be.

 Number 2

The Crew

We’re off to the Maine Highlands this time for another shot at some scrap. There’s a big ol’ lake nearby but there shouldn’t be any chance of you accidently driving into this one. Simply follow the road up the small mountain and turn off to the east at the fork as this wreck is on the middle tier. Have a giggle when you’ve found it and launch yourself off the jump for some sweet extra bucks and possibly one of The Crew‘s proprietary achievements.

Number 3

The Crew

Another wreck in The Crew is taking in the view. This time on top of the hill in a region called Arcadia. If you head towards the Bar Harbor landmark and turn west at the crossroads you’ll be well on your way to finding this part. Turn onto the dirt road and then go straight on where the road forks. Shortly after you’ll end up pretty much at the destination.

Number 4

The Crew

Head back towards the Maine Highlands for this one. You’ll be aiming for the landmark of the same name (which, annoyingly, isn’t actually in the Maine Highlands area) and turn onto the southern dirt road. Just before the road splits, turn to the west and follow the train line south when you meet up with it. As you come across some ponds you’ll be incredibly close to the wreck. Avoid yet more water-borne adventures in The Crew and there will be your rusty prize.

Number 5

The Crew

The North Woods is a particularly ambiguous name, even in The Crew, for a location. It’s like calling somewhere That House. Either way, on the eastern side of the river there’s another wreck part. If you use the in-game map as reference or the one above, the scrap is directly above the N of North.

Number 6

The Crew

Within the town of Salem, next to the Salem Woods unsurprisingly, is the 6th piece. Drive along the western road of the housing estate and turn east when you come across a church-like building. Here you will find the wreck resting in a corner. That’s the sixth piece of the puzzle towards completing the dirt-spec Hotrod in The Crew. Pat yourself on the back and get ready for tonnes more driving.

Number 7

The Crew

The seventh piece of the puzzle is doing its best troll impression and hiding beneath a bridge. Drive south on the main road between White Mountains and the Ocean State. Turn off this road when it becomes a bridge and investigate the small logging location beneath. Within a hanger which has two large trucks outside is the part you’ve been looking for.

Number 8The Crew

Another wreck that’s hiding next to a river. The eighth in the series is just trying to enjoy a nice fishing trip. Take the road west from the White Mountains towards Allegheny Forest and leave the road on the western side of the river. Follow the river bank and it’s hiding underneath a bridge support.

Number 9

The Crew

Head south on the road between Allegheny Forest and New York. After driving down a road with several pylons on either side be prepared to run off. Take the road into the mountains rather than around them and when you come across a small body of water, you’ve found the part, sitting in a couple of trees just before a hairpin turn.

Number 10

The Crew

If you drive out of New York from the north-eastern exit and follow the upcoming road north you’ll be on the way to this tenth part. As soon as you come across a railway line stop and get looking. the wreck is under the bridge over the railway. Lots of scrap parts under bridges in the East Coast. Is that a common activity around New York? Anyway, onwards.

Number 11

The Crew

Crashed container ships might not be where you’d expect to find some wrecked old Hotrod. In The Crew however, it is apparently the case. If you drive into Newport and then head toward the coastline you can’t miss the crashed ships. Approach from the western half and you’ll be able to use a small bridge to get to where you need to be.

Number 12

The Crew

Cross the river from Manhattan in The Crew‘s approximation of New Jersey there’s another wreck part to be had. If you drive along the eastern side of the river and into the town the wreck is sat comfortably at the first corner. Just slam through the chain-link fence and you’re there.

Number 13

The Crew

This one’s in a power station. Sadly if you crash into the transformers you won’t get super lightning powers but that’s no big deal. Drive along the road to the west of Jersey City until you see this power station. Head around the large buildings at the north-east tip and the wreck is just around the corner.

Number 14

The Crew

With perhaps the strangest town name in The Crew, Punxsutawney has a second claim to fame in this game. There’s a wreck in it. After driving to the roundabout on the western side of town you’ll see a landmark location. Drive south out of this roundabout and then immediately turn left. Just down this small wasteland is the next scrap piece.

Number 15

The Crew

The fifteenth wreck on the quest for a Dirt-spec Hotrod in The Crew is another one of those ‘out in the middle no nowhere’ affairs. Drive the road which travels west out of Punxsutawney and count your exits. After the fourth, look out for a very small cottage/shack on your left hand side. Not far behind this you’ll find the scrap piece.

Number 16

The Crew

We are back in the centre of New York for this one. Well, sort of. If you travel into the Brooklyn area there’a a small park. Enter this park from the north and in a small copse of trees is the sixteenth wreck. It’s just behind a very large building with a jump situated to the north of the wreck.

Number 17

The Crew

Time for a trip to the ports of New York in the hunt for wreck piece number 17. In typical The Crew fashion this one is hidden a little more than you’d like. Drive to the Bayonne industrial area to the south of New York and drive the road around the shoreline. On the south side of this, before you reach the mainland, there’s a huge container ship next to a selection of pipes. The wreck is sat between the two.

Number 18

The Crew

We’re back in the forests for wreck part number 18. This one showcases once again The Crew‘s love for sticking these wrecks in trees. Drive in a south-westerly direction away from the Pit Mines until you cross a river. Continue on the road over the river and keep your eyes to the right for a bright red truck and combine harvester. In the garage behind them you’ll find your next piece.

Number 19

The Crew

We’re off to Washington this time to go take a look around the Defense District. Head south from the Pentagon and keep a look out for two incredibly large concrete structures. They look like the buttocks of a celestial being that got stuck in the ground. The road just to the south of these has our little wreck treasure. Drive along this road until you meet a breakable chain-link fence. In a small car lot through that you’ll find the wreck.

Number 20

The Crew

There’s a huge portion of the East Coast region in The Crew which simply isn’t populated by anything except a wreck. For this final and twentieth piece, that’s where you’ll be going. Drive through the Mississippian Plateau until you’re at the most western dirt road. This is just before the border but not actually upon it. When you’re driving along this road, look out for a farm with a white truck, black SUV and red combine harvester outside of it. At this, turn directly south and keep an eye on the radar.
