The release date for the next entry in the Total War series has been announced. Total War ATTILA (yes, all caps because he’s that hardcore) has been dated for February 17, 2015 for the PC.
If you pre-order the game before release, you will get the first DLC pack–the Viking Forefathers Culture Pack–for free.
I’m not sure how I feel about promising day one DLC for pre-orders, especially something as substantial as three different factions. The Total War games are one of my favorite strategy games in existence, and Total War ATTILA looks to be taking cultures and factions from all across Europe and Asia. I’m excited to play it–especially after the dud that was Rome II–but this bad DLC practice out of the gate has me wary. We’ll be sure to keep you up to date on any Total War ATTILA news, and be sure to look for a review in 2015!
A special edition was also detailed, which includes an Attila the Hun biography, poster, and the aforementioned Viking Forefathers Culture Pack whether you pre-order or not. It will also be released on the 17th of February.
