1. Dragon Age: Inquisition

Dragon Age: Inquisition

In a week featuring a few of 2014’s biggest console releases, Dragon Age: Inquisition stands just above the rest. Inquisition is a big step in the evolution of the series after a somewhat polarizing response to Dragon Age II.

And things have been largely positive so far with reviews trickling out. Dragon Age: Inquisition‘s world is immense, with plenty to explore and conquer, seamlessly blending elements from its two predecessors and other great series like The Elder ScrollsMass Effect and Diablo.

The tactical, top-down view that was removed in Dragon Age II returns for the series’ third installment, and the Qunari are finally a playable race. There’s also a four-player co-op, multiplayer mode that stands alone from the single-player campaign.
