Hidden Details in Famous Art We Noticed Thanks to Assassin’s Creed Unity

It’s only fitting that the greatest art of the past should be synchronized with the greatest art of the present. Ubisoft’s latest title, Assassin’s Creed Unity, has been released and is making waves all around the world. Unity has been under heavy scrutiny from fans and critics alike due to what many have called ‘poor performance’ and ‘sloppy, unfinished graphics.’ Most notably, people have been complaining about and mocking what appears to be partially-rendered faces on character models.

Or so we thought.

After taking a closer look at some of the Louvre’s most famous paintings and sculptures, it would appear that perhaps Ubisoft has been planning this game for much longer than we had originally believed. Additionally, it seems that some of those ‘unfinished’ character models may be some kind of message. See if you can spot the subtle nods to Assassin’s Creed Unity in these masterpieces of art on display in the world renowned Louvre Museum in Paris.
